Using AD to Add an Alias to an Office 365 Email Account

Open the user object in ADUC and go to the Attribute Editor tab. Find the “proxyAddresses” attribute. The main email address should be preceded with “SMTP:” and the alias addresses should be preceded by “smtp:”.
